Privacy
Hyperspeed Rail is a concept and a game. It has no accounts, no cookies, no analytics, no advertising and no trackers. This page says what it does keep. Last updated 11 October 2026.
On your device
Your progress (passport stamps, achievements, scores, experience), your leaderboard name and a random id for your browser are kept in your browser's local storage. They never leave your device unless you join the leaderboards, below. Clearing your browser's site data removes them.
The global leaderboards
Nothing is sent until you choose a display name at the end of a run. After that, each run you finish sends:
- the display name you chose (shown to everyone beside your score),
- a random id your browser made, which is never shown and isn't linked to you, your device or your account anywhere,
- the run, your score, its stars and how long it took.
For each board, only your best score is kept, with the time it was set. Choosing No thanks keeps everything on your device.
Stopping abuse
To limit how often one connection can send scores, the server counts requests by a one-way hash of your network address mixed with a secret that changes every day. The address itself is never stored, and the counts are deleted within minutes.
Removing your scores
On the menu, Leaderboards → Remove my scores deletes every score your browser has sent, straight away, and stops sending more. If you've lost access to that browser, or a name on the boards shouldn't be there, get in touch through paruto.com.
Who runs it
Hyperspeed Rail is built by Paruto. The site and the leaderboards run on Cloudflare, which processes requests on our behalf (Cloudflare's privacy policy). Map and building data come from OpenStreetMap and other open sources, credited in the app.
